True Percula Clownfish – Yellow Variant

Percula YellowAmphiprion percula

The species can be mistaken with A.ocellaris due to their highly similar color and pattern. The "easiest" way to distinguish between the two species is the fact that A. percula  has brighter eyes and a thicker black edging outlining its fins. A.ocellaris. A.percula  grows more slowly than A.ocellaris. They begin development with incomplete stripes and grow into their stripes with age. Even fish over a year old might still have an incomplete tail stripe.

We produce two distinguishable A.percula morphs. The yellow morph originates from Indonesia. It is an active variant and more aggressive than the orange morph. Over time, this morph will turn into Black Onyx.
